2010 Internships at nTelos Wireless Pavilion

nTelos Wireless Pavilion and BeachEvents, leading entertainment providers in Hampton Roads, are seeking energetic and motivated interns for the Summer of 2010 with the desire to excel in the music and entertainment industry. This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to gain hands-on experience, establish professional contacts, and acquire marketable job skills in the music and entertainment industry.
This is a non-paid internship position in which hours will reflect the needs of your college credit requirements (interns will be reimbursed for gas and mileage incurred).  We are looking to fill several full-time and part-time internships.
Interns will assist in the Marketing, Finance, Sales, Production as well as the Box Office.  All interns will have the opportunity to learn from and work with employees across all departments.  Duties may include, but are not limited to:

            •Marketing Research                            •Administrative Support                    
            •Event Production                                 •Project Development
            •On-site assistance at events                •Public Relations
            •Promotional support                            •Internet networking, research, and advertising
            •Recruitment & administration of a promotional “street team”
            •Experience or knowledge in networking on Facebook, MySpace and other social   networks

The ideal candidate will possess a self-motivated, hardworking, and team player attitude and desire to excel in the concert marketing industry or related business.
Other job requirements include:
  
            •Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Music or related field is preferred
            •Experience with PowerPoint and Photoshop is preferred for Marketing Interns
            •Detail –oriented and the ability to multi-task efficiently on a daily basis
            •Eager to learn and proactive with new tasks
            •The ability to conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times
            •The ability to learn and absorb at a fast pace
            •Reliable transportation
            •Some evening, weekends, and holidays are required
